In this podcast, Bianca discusses the issue of 'competition' in an industry that is primarily opinion based. "We live in a very critical world made up of people just like us, who pass judgement and compare themselves with others. Perhaps the fear we carry of negative judgements, stem from our own criticism of others? We are the ones who create this culture."

"Simone is a great mix of natural talent and hard work in a positive, warm and relaxed personality." - Nick Brown Simone is a perfect example of humility AND confidence. She has a reputation for being extremely capable and someone who is very easy to work with. She prioritizes helping others and trusting those she works with. Simone does have the same initial, emotional response to many people but she works through her thoughts keeping her motivation and 'the big picture' in mind. Simone's focus is so refreshing in a world full of ego.
In this podcast, Bianca reminds us of the big picture. So often we get caught up in things that ultimately don't matter. We waste our precious energy on worry and 'what ifs'. Performers can also carry too much responsibility. Bianca shares her own battles of self-importance and how she has learnt she is not responsible for others. Take the pressure off yourself and do what you do because it matters to you. Show notes: The Minimalists - www.theminimalists.com
Lisa is known for her improvisation which is driven by rhythm, expression and harmony, inspired by a range of nations. She is a founding member of the all female vocal group, Coco's Lunch and she is a passionate and engaging workshop leader and lecturer at Box Hill Institute. This conversation centres around her view of improvisation and her performance motto, "listen and respond." This formula gives Lisa the freedom to create in the moment, to work with and around any mistakes as they happen. Lisa says, "great ideas often come in unexpected moments." So perhaps we should allow more room for these great ideas by expecting less perfection and allowing ourselves to be open to whatever happens to our plans. Lisa reminds us to stay grateful for the opportunity. Show Notes: Lisa suggests https://www.tarabrach.com/ is a great place to find support if you suffer from anxiety.
