The Band Project is a way for students to meet and collaborate with guidance from Nathan.
This is an opportunity to meet like-minded musicians who are hoping to connect and create!
The band explores repertoire together in a supportive, educational environment where they can then perform in front of an audience at the end of each term.
WHEN?
during school terms...
Tuesdays 8pm - 9pm ADULTS
Fridays 7 - 8pm LOWER SECONDARY (Years 7 - 9)
Fridays 8 - 9pm UPPER SECONDARY (Years 10 - 12)
COST?
$20 per session - pay as you go!
You may come along to a session free-of-charge to see if this is the group for you!
Members of this group require some level of experience with their instrument, so they are able to learn a song on their own or with the assistance of their instrumental teacher.
If you are interested in trying it out, please email [email protected] or book online.

Meet the facilitatorNATHAN DIXON he | him
Unlike many musicians, Nathan began his musical journey in his late teens. Influenced by the likes of Queen, Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Nirvana and Paul Kelly, he decided to take music seriously. As of 2018 Nathan Dixon had completed 7 years of tertiary education including certificates, an Advanced Diploma and a Bachelor of Applied Music - Performance. Since completing his degree, Nathan has written an album, worked as a session musician and sang for a film score. Through teaching Nathan has lead several ensembles and aspiring musicians toward their goals through encouragement and team work. He also leads charity work by repairing and refurbishing donation instruments and putting them into the hands of foster families, people struggling with illness and at risk youths. Nathan believes accessibility is key and with the right attitude and a helping hand anyone can achieve their goals, great or small. |
