"Hi all. My name is Ben, I'm 25 years old and I've been learning drums at BFSM for close to 2 years now.

I started playing the drums at around 21 years old when I bought my first drum kit, an electronic Alesis Nitro. Since then I have bought two Tama acoustic drum kits. A 90's Tama rock star kit and a 60's Tama swing star kit that I am currently restoring.

At the moment my focus for drums is learning jazz/soul, to join a cover band, to find work as a Drum Teacher while working my part time job in Aged Care and to study a Cert 4 in Music Production.

I have performed in two of the BFSM concerts now and have a fantastic teacher. I really appreciate the scholarship opportunity and am excited to come back this year."
