Term 1, 2020 - Jack Brien

"Hi my name is Jack Brien and I am 12 years old. I have been playing guitar for 4 years and have been singing for 1 year at Bianca Fenn School of Music. It’s such a great school and the teachers are all so cool and very encouraging.

I spent half of this year busking at a local market, raising $1000. I donated half of the money to the cancer council and bought a new plug in acoustic guitar with the rest. I could not of done this without my amazing teachers.

The stage performances at BFSM are my favourite and last year I got the chance to play in a band with some professional musicians which was awesome. My favourite bands are AC/DC, Queen, and Metallica. When I grow I’d love to be a musician - I love it!"

Term 1, 2020 - Lana Shin

"Hi my name is Lana, I am in grade 4 this year. I like to learn new songs from the piano books and from movies theme songs like Harry Potter Hedwig’s theme and My Neighbor, Totoro.
Piano is my first musical instrument that I have learnt to play and I enjoy getting lessons from my teacher, Emily Bennett, since 2017. I have learnt so much, from sight reading music notes to playing actual songs.
I understand that Emily has left BFSM and I am very sad to see her go but I am very excited to meet my new teacher in the coming days.
​I am also super excited that BFSM has offered me a scholarship this term and am looking forward to continue my piano learning journey."
