Jessica Wilkie - Violin Teacher
Jessica started learning violin at age 8, in a small town in Arizona, USA. Her teacher was the grand matriarch of violinists in the valley and taught Suzuki Method. She was also involved with her primary school’s string orchestra. Jessica was privileged enough to play at many school events, home concerts and even with the Eastern Arizonan College’s orchestra.
After moving back home to Australia, Jessica continued her musical education, this time learning AMEB method. She has taken several exams; Grade 4 violin, Grade 3 piano and Grade 4 theory and was also involved in her high school’s orchestra, as well as string ensemble and Celtic band.
During university, she started to teach violin. Jessica has taught AMEB and ANZCA practical methods as well as theory.
Music styles that Jessica is interested in and teach are classical, fiddle, celtic and contemporary music.
